Helios opens up services from Deutsche Telekom for use by third parties in web applications. The goal is to create simple interfaces for developers, who can combine these services to create new products (mashup). Developers become part of the community via the developer portal and get access to “Open APIs” (open programming interfaces). They can use the SDK (software development kit), discuss ideas together and will be provided with information and examples for all of the services offered and their interfaces.
