One main objective in the development of software products that are easy to use, is to provide the user with an effective and efficient tool. To achieve this, usability evaluation methods are necessary, which are currently associated with a lot of people being involved. The MeMo project is pursuing an innovative approach, which enables automated usability tests at an early stage of development, without the involvement of real test persons. Later, expensive corrections can thus be avoided right from the start, and there is also a positive effect on the results of conventional usability tests.
