
In the MediaScout project a personalised programme overview is being developed. The content available from TV, online videotheques, music videos and from the Internet will be compared with the user’s personal profile and recommendations will be made. The user’s selections and ratings will be analysed and their personal profile will constantly be improved. MediaScout knows the user and can add targeted, personalised advertising to the recommendations. It can be integrated into existing targeting systems, to increase their accuracy, as well as providing relevant product information via barcode recognition using a mobile phone.
