T-Labs with future-oriented topics at MWC 2017

More than 2,200 companies around the mobile phone industry - manufacturers of smartphones, tablets, wearables, VR glasses, network operators, network technology and infrastructure companies, software and chip manufacturers, and more - are presenting their highlights from February 27 to March 2, 2017, in Barcelona at the largest international trade fair for the mobile communications industry. As every year, tens of thousands of experts, analysts and media representatives are expected to learn about mobile technology today and tomorrow at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). This year the fair has chosen the slogan "Mobile - The next element". In addition to the latest devices, AR / VR, Robotics, virtual assistants, Smart City, the Internet of Things, autonomous driving, or security are also on the agenda.

  Deutsche Telekom at MWC 2017

This is how the future feels

Deutsche Telekom stages many of these forward-looking themes at its stand 3M31 in hall 3 under the motto "Feel connected all over Europe". Varied exhibits and vivid use cases around the best network, our networked life and 5G as the communication standard of the future make it possible to our visitors to experience telecommunication of tomorrow and to convey how the future feels.
There are again some solutions developed at T-Labs:
eLIZA is an innovation project aimed at developing an artificial intelligence that can e.g. in form of a digital assistant support the customer to use Telekom products and services intuitively or answer questions in customer service.
Well-Fi provides simple and secure Wi-Fi connectivity with enhanced quality in the home, using the latest Wi-Fi technologies in conjunction with intelligent network management to give customers the best possible home Wi-Fi experience.
The real-time collaboration of robots is an important capability for multiple application scenarios relating to future production and service robotics. In the “5G Enabled Robotics” showcase, two robots work with the help of 5G network technology and low latency efficiently and cooperatively together.
Consumers want to enjoy a seamless experience across all their devices, at anytime and at whatever the location. The "5G Enabled Seamless Experience" showcase demonstrates how it is possible with 5G to manage a seamless digital entertainment experience at home and on the go.
TV is continuously developing towards a highly interactive and personalized service. With Cloud UI technology it is possible to process graphical interfaces in a central data hub and to stream them to the customer’s TV decoder. So the traditionally low performance devices can continue to be used. The joint solution of Deutsche Telekom und SK Telecom is presented at the stand 3H10 of SK Telecom in hall 3.
The voice and video communications service of immmr, a T-Labs' startup, makes voice calling as easy, hassle-free and accessible as possible. immmr unifies voice, video calls and messaging in one service, so that users can connect from any device and from anywhere.

Other teams from Telekom's innovation division "Product Innovation" are also presenting their innovative solutions:

The Seamless Connectivity app keeps Telekom’s “always best connected” promise by helping the customers to easily experience the best possible and secure connection according to their individual needs – whether at home or on the way.
Thanks to the new cost-efficient and energy-efficient Narrowband IoT (NB-Iot) technology more than 50 billion devices will be connected by 2020. In a smart city, for example, street lighting can be switched on and off remotely or can trigger an alarm if they malfunction.
Quickly and efficiently companies expand their core business with Telekom's white label Smart Home portfolio. The modular portfolio forms the foundation of the open and secure platform QIVICON that can be tailored and scaled to the specific requirements of both business and customers.
The Smart Life & Health platform interconnects consumers with lifestyle and healthcare providers within one centralized data hub that manages all lifestyle and health-related data. Telekom customers receive a holistic view on their personal health which enables them to achieve a better healthcare and a longer and healthier life.
hub:raum, Telekom’s incubator, is represented with six startups from various topics at the stand of the startup business plattform “Four Years From Now” (4YFN). Furthermore, hub:raum is hosting a Shareclub Event at the Telekom booth on Tuesday, February 28, at 5:45 pm, where the startups will present their products and solutions with Telekom.
